Pains Wessex Buoysmoke Mk8 is a 15 minute orange smoke Man Overboard day time Lifebuoy marker which is identical to Manoverboard MK8 Light & Smoke Signal - but without the lighting system, ideal for high freeboard vessels or rigs. It  is attached to a 4 Kg lifebouy (not supplied) and used in an emergency to mark the position of a man overboard. This version is required for USA and Japanese flag vessels who require 15 hour lifebuoy lights (SOLAS only 2 hours). One is required to be mounted on each Bridgewing in its stainless steel bracket. It can be positioned upto 60m above sea level (SOLAS only requires 30m). The Buoysmoke MK8 can be manually deployed or automatically deployed on release of the attached Lifebuoy.
